The quirky town of Yarck offers a great starting point to ride a relatively flat section of the Great Victorian Rail Trail to nearby Molesworth, just over 10kms away.

The trail is flanked with towering gums en-route to the old railway junction at Cathkin which connects with Alexandra via a spur line, some 13kms away. Between Cathkin and Molesworth the native gums become denser, immersing riders in nature before crossing the Goulburn River into the township of Molesworth.
