Starting in Eldorado or Wangaratta, pedal smooth gravel roads through native bushland and historic sites. This intermediate route offers a sense of tranquility while remaining close to civilization. The terrain is predominantly rolling, passing through grazing lands, and includes a moderate but notable climb within Mt Barambogie State Forest.
For those seeking a slightly less demanding ride, turn right at Eldorado-Byawatha Road to reduce the route by nearly 10km and cut the climbing in half. Don't miss the retired Eldorado Dredge, one of the largest historic dredges in the Southern Hemisphere. Stop for a delicious lunch and refreshing beverage at Victoria's smallest pub in Eldorado.
