The Great Valley Trail follows the Ovens River and explores the beautiful valley between Bright and Harrietville. The trail is flat and fully sealed, suitable for both road bikes and mountain bikes. Follow the rail trail from the centre of Bright towards the Tawonga Gap turnoff, then wind your way through towering eucalypts to arrive in quaint Harrietville, stopping in at Gunadoo Berries, Alpine Perennials Nursery and the Mountain Fresh Trout and Salmon Farm on your journey.
Stop at the Harrietville Hotel Motel on the corner of Great Alpine Road and Feathertop Track to access a kitted out bike maintenance station.
