Kerrisdale Station's nearest populous place is the village of Tallarook 15 kilometres away.
Initially called Windham, Kerrisdale Station opened and closed with the line. The passenger platform was on the upside with loop siding and goods platform on the down side. It was a caretaker station reduced to "No-one in Charge" in July 1977, before closing for good in 1978.
The Kerrisdale Station house has since been removed. There are public toilets located at the site.
