Rebecca Barnard plays the songs of Joni Mitchell

36 High St Yackandandah Victoria

Arts Yackandandah are excited to present the incredible Rebecca Barnard in a special tribute to the legendary Joni Mitchell, live at the Yack Public Hall on November 30.

Rebecca's journey with Joni Mitchell began in 1974 when she first heard Carey—a moment that changed her life forever. Since then, Joni's influence has shaped Rebecca's own music, subtly woven into the six albums she's released to date.

Joining Rebecca is the talented Peter Farnan (Boom Crash Opera), who also discovered Joni Mitchell around the same time. Inspired by her innovative guitar and piano techniques, Peter immersed himself in Joni's unique tunings and style, creating his own deeply personal connection to her music.

Together, Rebecca and Peter have been bringing Joni's timeless songs to audiences across Victoria for the past four years, including a celebrated performance at the Arts Centre. Their show spans Joni's entire career, from her early folk masterpieces to her groundbreaking work of the 2000s, capturing the essence of her artistry and the emotional depth of her lyrics.

They can't wait to bring this heartfelt tribute to the beautiful town of Yackandandah for an unforgettable evening.
