Nestled behind the National Trust listed Post Office in Chiltern's Historic Precinct, The Linesman's Cottage has retained its rustic exterior, while the interior has been transformed into stylish and modern guest accommodation.
The Cottage interior features a modern kitchen, bathroom, queen size bed, split system air-conditioning and a large plasma television. Complimented by a courtyard garden, off street parking and private access all make this gem ideal for couples looking for a relaxed and peaceful retreat.
The cottage makes a great base to explore Historical Chiltern and the surrounding regions of Rutherglen, Beechworth, Yackandandah and Chiltern - Mt Pilot National Park. The Linesman's Cottage, built in the 1950s, was formally the work base for the Post Master General's department. It was used by the linesmen who installed and maintained the telephone lines around the North East region.
The Cottage is pet friendly, with a fully enclosed courtyard style garden.
An Evie electric vehicle charger is located within 30m of the Cottage (fee payable).
