Whether you’re an experienced mountain goat or looking to conquer your first road cycling climb, it’s time to heed the call of Victoria’s High Country and set your own personal 7 Peaks challenge.
7 Peaks is an at-your-own pace cycling challenge that takes you up winding mountain roads, around steep turns and past spectacular views, right to the top of seven Victorian Alpine Resorts of Mt Buffalo, Mt Hotham, Falls Creek, Mt Buller, Dinner Plain, Lake Mountain and Mt Baw Baw. Last season more than 300 people completed all 7 Peaks, but perhaps you simply aspire to complete your first ever mountain climb? Now is the time to set your own personal goal for the season and start making plans.
The season dates are from 26 October 2018 to 28 April 2019, with registrations opening on October 20th. For every peak you complete you’ll receive a stamp in your passport and move one step closer to winning the major prize of a trip for two to next years Tour de France with Wide Open Road Tours. You can even win just by registering and completing one peak!
And BTW, very soon we’ll be launching an all new 7 Peaks Champions Jersey, designed and produced by MAAP – a proudly Victorian company now recognised as producing world leading cycle apparel. The contemporary design has been inspired by the 7 Peaks and will be available to anyone who completes all 7 challenges this season. Stay tuned… the design will be dropping soon!
