This year is the 40th anniversary of the rolling cycling festival that is the Great Vic Bike Ride. To mark this huge milestone Bicycle Network is bringing it back to where it all began in 1984 with the ultimate 501km social cycle trip through Victoria’s High Country from Saturday 23 November to Sunday 1 December 2024.
Cycle iconic landscapes during the day and be entertained in the evenings at the moving camp village with live music, yoga, an outdoor cinema, the Spokes Bar and much more. Choose from the nine, five or three day ride option and book before Sunday 18 August 2024 to snap up an early bird deal.

Route Highlights
Weaving through Victoria’s High Country, the Great Vic Bike Ride will take you past some of the most stunning scenery and charming towns the region has to offer. Highlights include:
- Yackandandah & Myrtleford – Cycle from Wodonga through charming Yackandandah to Italian heritage filled Myrtleford via rolling hills. Stop to stroll Yackandandah‘s artisan shops and at night sample Myrtleford‘s top-notch pizza and wine.
- Milawa & Wangaratta – Pedal through gourmet food bowl Milawa to indulge in a cornucopia of produce including Milawa Cheese Company, Brown Brothers Winery and more. In Wangaratta you have an additional day to explore the riding and abundant birdlife around the Warby-Ovens National Park and Winton Wetlands on a planned loop.

There’s a rest day built in at Mansfield so you can explore even more of the vibrant towns riding or check out the area’s local produce, art, hiking and more.
- Alexandra – Pedal from Mansfield to Alexandra by Bonnie Doon soaking in views of Lake Eildon. We recommend taking some time to stroll Alexandra‘s heritage streets and stop to celebrate with a beer at On Point Brewery.
