In 2018, Bridge Road Brewers invited the Soup Boys up to Victoria’s High Country to check out the Tour de Beechworth, held on a particularly chilly all the while sunny late July morning. On that weekend they took on the century-long road loop, dotted with the occasional gravel section throughout the morning.
If you ask them, the Tour de Beechworth is one of the most underrated events on the cycling calendar. So when they found out they’d be back to take on the gravel loop a year later, they were pretty stoked.
But don’t take my word for it. Go check out 70km worth of ‘groad’ photos in one of the most unknown pockets of Victoria’s High Country and mark the event in your calendar for next year.
